How Does Morpheus8V Work?
The Morpheus8V device offers vaginal rejuvenation without the need for surgery or medication by utilizing both radiofrequency energy and microneedling to tighten, enhance and rejuvenate the vaginal skin. Using ultra-fine needles, micro-injuries are made on the skin. The body’s natural response to this is a significant boost in collagen, the building block of new, elastic skin and connective tissue. Morpheus8V is a small microneedling handpiece designed to rejuvenate the vaginal and vulvar tissues. In addition to the substantial enhancement it provides from microneedling alone, it emits radio frequency (RF) energy to provide further benefits.
RF energy delivers heat to the vaginal tissues at the same time as the microneedling is applied, which even more strongly triggers the production of collagen. The device utilizes both healing methods, microneedling, and RF energy, in order to dramatically rejuvenate the vaginal area, producing tighter, firmer, and more elastic vaginal skin and tissue.
What Can I Expect During A Morpheus8V Treatment?
Consultation
A thorough consultation is one of the most critical parts to successful treatment with the EmpowerRF platform. Your provider will discuss your concerns as well as your medical history to determine if you are truly a candidate for this procedure. For best results, all three components of the EmpowerRF platform are typically recommended. These treatments are ideal for women experiencing a variety of feminine wellness concerns. These unpleasant issues can afflict women at any age, although childbirth and menopause can often be either the cause or a significant contributing factor.
For women who still have a period, time your treatment for the time of month following the completion of your period. Ideal candidates meet the following requirements:
Are generally in good health with no serious medical concerns
Are not pregnant
Are not at risk of STDs, a yeast infection, or a bladder infection
Would like to boost self-confidence and improve sexual health
Would like to correct vaginal laxity, dryness, and/or urinary incontinence
Pre-Procedure
We ask that you are shaved and not currently on your menstrual cycle. We ask that you have not had sexual intercourse for a few days prior to the procedure. Please follow all pre-procedure instructions that we give you. We will have you numb for 45 minutes prior to the procedure.
Treatment
The procedure takes about 30 minutes as the device is passed over the vaginal area and vulvar tissues to trigger collagen production. Morpheus8V is a bipolar device, which means that the RF energy is conducted between the electrodes on the device itself. This allows us to safely heat the vaginal tissue to achieve the highest level of collagen production possible, but without causing damage.
What Can I Expect After A Morpheus8V Treatment?
Results
As your body begins to rebuild the skin and tissues in the area, you may begin to see results in as little as two weeks after your first treatment. To achieve the best results with vaginal rejuvenation, we recommend three treatments, scheduled 4-8 weeks apart.
As the collagen remodeling continues, you will notice sensation is more enhanced, the skin is tighter and firmer, vaginal moisture is improved, and the appearance of any scarring in the area is improved.
Aftercare
You may have some spotting following the procedure. A panty liner is all you should need for the first 24 hours after treatments.
