FormaV is a non-invasive vaginal tightening treatment that rejuvenates both the vaginal canal and the external genital area. Women suffering from urinary incontinence or those concerned about the effects of aging can now undergo a non-surgical, virtually painless rejuvenation procedure. Tighten loose labia and feel more confident with a painless vaginal rejuvenation procedure.
FormaV is a very gentle treatment and completely painless. Your provider will use the handpick to heat the tissue of the vaginal lining and labia. This heat energy triggers thermal remodeling of the tissues, which means the tissue begin to tighten and strengthen over time. This innovative treatment is ideal for women who notice some vaginal laxity, effects of aging on the labia and vulva, vulvovaginal atrophy, and urinary incontinence. It’s also suitable for tightening the external labia minora and majora.
A thorough consultation is one of the most critical parts to successful treatment with the EmpowerRF platform. Your provider will discuss your concerns as well as your medical history to determine if you are truly a candidate for this procedure. For best results, all three components of the EmpowerRF platform are typically recommended. These treatments are ideal for women experiencing a variety of feminine wellness concerns. These unpleasant issues can afflict women at any age, although childbirth and menopause can often be either the cause or a significant contributing factor.
For women who still have a period, time your treatment for the time of month following the completion of your period. Ideal candidates meet the following requirements:
Are generally in good health with no serious medical concerns
Are not pregnant
Are not at risk of STDs, a yeast infection, or a bladder infection
Would like to boost self-confidence and improve sexual health
Would like to correct vaginal laxity, dryness, and/or urinary incontinence
We ask that you are shaved and not currently on your menstrual cycle. We ask that you have not had sexual intercourse for a few days prior to the procedure. Please follow all pre-procedure instructions that we give you. FormaV treatments are gentle and require no anesthetic. We provide your procedure in a private, relaxing room. The length of your vaginal canal will be gently and carefully measured to know exactly how far the wand should be inserted to provide maximum healing, without going any further than necessary.
One measurements are taken, the treatment wand will be lubricated with a small amount of gel to help ease the comfort of entry, then gently inserted into the vagina. Once the wand is inserted, it will apply either RF enetargeting the deeper layers of tissue in the vaginal walls. This is not painful and usually just feels warm to the patient. Procedure time varies, but generally treatments take 25-35 minutes from start to finish.
The number of treatment sessions you need will depend on your unique feminine wellness concerns. We will help determine this during your consultation and design a custom treatment plan for you. Patients will need three consecutive treatment sessions spread out over a period of twelve to eighteen weeks for the most ideal results. Your treatments trigger your body’s natural muscle building and tissue regeneration. Within two weeks, you will notice significant vaginal tightening and improvements in urinary incontinence. Results continue to build as the stimulated collagen and elastin restructures and strengthens the vaginal tissue and the muscles build, which continue more dramatically as further treatments are performed.
There is no downtime to worry about after your treatments. You may experience some swelling, redness or sensitivity, but these temporary side effects only last for a few days and should not interfere with you returning to your usual activities or work. Wait for 3-7 days before having intercourse again, and keep the area moisturized with a substance such as coconut oil or creams we prescribe. Specific aftercare instructions will be provided by your provider. You can also check out our aftercare instructions on the website for more information. As always, please contact us with any questions or concerns.
