What Is The Difference Between DiamondGlow® & Microdermabrasion?
DiamondGlow® and microdermabrasion are both nonsurgical cosmetic treatments that exfoliate by removing a portion of the upper layer of the skin. Microdermabrasion loosens the superficial layer of dead and dry skin cells by buffing the skin with a flow of fine, medical-grade aluminum oxide crystals. DiamondGlow® uses controlled vacuum pressure to gently pull the skin up into a chamber located in the device’s handpiece, where it is evenly abraded at a strength set by the specialist performing the treatment. DiamondGlow® also includes the infusion of serums; microdermabrasion does not.
What Can I Expect During A DiamondGlow® Facial?
Each treatment begins with cleansing the skin to ensure it is free of dirt and oils. DiamondGlow® is performed with a patented handpiece that creates suction on contact with your skin. The handpiece contains a diamond tip that performs the exfoliation and extraction portions of the treatment. Simultaneously, the device uses pneumatic suction to infuse your skin with ingredient-rich serums. This eliminates any time gap between resurfacing and serum application, ensuring your skin takes in the serum’s potent ingredients when it is most receptive. The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
